Vibes

Jim Carrey has been all over social media news recently but this time not for his acting, in fact, quite the opposite. It's his lack of 'acting' or rather his shedding of character (ego) that has hit the timelines where he has been sharing his 'existential discoveries' in places that perhaps in the most opposing settings for such deep disclosures. New York Fashion week was the scene he decided to let it all out, throwing out philosophical views and physics theories to explain subtly his understandings of reality toward an unexpecting presenter who didn't know where to look whilst Jim educated (or scared) her considerably.  On a scale of 1 to 3000, with 3000 being ultimate understanding I'd say I'm at about a 2320 when it come to Jim's explanations.  Coincidentally* a few weeks prior to this occurrence I came across an online doc named, ' Is Reality a Simulation ' by Quantum Gravity Research group (highly recommend)...

I've always been one to keep myself busy and throw myself into projects, but recently, as I'm growing older and more experienced, I realise that it's perhaps best to focus in fewer directions and achieve more than spread yourself too thinly therefore not nurturing any of them as much as they deserve. Synchronicity Records and it's releases have been a passion of mine for a few years now but has suffered  from lack of attention recently due to lack of time, my time, so I have decided that it's best to take a hiatus from releasing the music I love in order to focus on other projects I'm handling currently. I'd like to think that this is definitely not the end, more a readjustment of priorities until such time occurs where I can give it, and the associated artists the love they deserve.  Up until now it has been an absolute pleasure to be entrusted with such talented individuals' art, and I cannot wait for the day when I can dedicate myself once...

Yesterday the great new artist to Synchronicity Records, Portway, struck a pose for the camera in his press shoot, excited to see the results!

I've always loved it when a label or music creator gets it right with their accompanying video - when the visuals are complimentary it can take the track into a whole other level, the stimulation increases tenfold for me, something that's either pleasing to the eye or makes you think. Some examples are 'About You' by XXYYXX (unofficial video) or 'Cirrus' by Bonobo The way these videos captivate me and add an extra realm to the music has inspired me to implement this into the releases on my label, Synchronicity.
